No two situations (locations) are alike.
Often, it is not good to have a canal especially if the canal is at the back of the house.
What you had described does not seem to be that bad.
For a re-sale home, it is often best (if you can) find out the rationale why the existing owners have sold their apartments.
Often, these are the most common reasons:-
[a] (often) for older flats, elderly may sell after their children had grown up.
[b] upgrading to new flat
[c] financial or marriage problems and related issues
(Try to find out more, if one can).

I can understand, some say that when one opens the main door, one `bangs' against the wall.
In fact, this is considered a common layout not only for housing board (HDB) and even for condominiums. Often, although this is not the best layout, nevertheless, there is no need to place a cross on this wall.
Often the wall can be left bare. Some would prefer instead to place a meaningful calligraphy on this wall or even a scroll of flowers like the fu gui hua / peony flowers etc..
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

User's Comments " I contacted Robert and you initially in November last year, having gone through an 18month period of never ending bad luck. I also had an arm injury, which would not heal after a year. Absolutely nothing would go right for me, not even the simplest most trivial thing. I then found that finances were a problem. As recommended I completed a Flying Star report, and a Pillars of Destiny Report, and followed all the recommendation and cures. I also received allot of advice from your Free Advise service, and read all the previous messages for tips. I am delighted to report that the string of bad luck has now been broken, and I have gone back to normal, which is brilliant. I can’t thank you both enough. Finances are also satisfactory, so I can now work hard and strive to achieve greater things. I will always remember your kindness, it was most encouraging. I will try to use your example, and help other people when they are in need and maybe I can do something to help. Many thanks. " Regards Liz Cooper |
